Job Description
HR Officer - Compensation & Benefits
1.0 KRA: HR Operations Management
Responsible for supporting the effective administration of HR operations and ensuring that HR policies, manuals, and processes are kept updated and aligned with government-mandated and industry-specific requirements.
1.1 Assists in the development and updating of the overall Human Resources Manual, Human Resources Operations Manual, and Payroll and Benefits job aids.
1.2 Recommends updates to HR policies and practices to align with organizational requirements and culture-building initiatives.
1.3 Administers and coordinates employment contracts, payroll, and benefits processes.
1.4 Ensures all employee movements are processed and recorded in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and employee records in a timely and accurate manner.
1.5 Maintains and monitors the stakeholder relationship database by regularly updating relevant contact persons and information.
1.6 Conducts regular checks and audits to ensure employee records are complete, accurate, and updated on time.
2.0 KRA: Payroll and Benefits Administration
Responsible for the accurate and timely administration of payroll and benefits programs for non-executive employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable legal requirements.
2.1 Coordinates and monitors the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
2.2 Administers and monitors company and government-mandated benefits programs, including the timely and accurate filing of government reports and remittances.
2.3 Prepares and reviews the Alphalist and other required reports for the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), ensuring accuracy and compliance with BIR regulations.
2.4 Identifies and recommends opportunities for process improvements in payroll and benefits administration to increase efficiency and accuracy.
2.5 Reconciles gross pay and deductions, including the separation of basic pay and allowances, using Excel, and submits the required payroll files to Finance for processing.
2.6 Prepares, reconciles, and submits required BIR payroll tax reports and documents, including Form 1601C and Alphalist/2316, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines.
3.0 KRA: HR Operations Compliance and Reporting
Responsible for supporting compliance with applicable labor laws, government regulations, and internal HR policies across HR operations.
3.1 Supports internal and external audits related to human resources and compensation practices by ensuring accurate and compliant documentation.
3.2 Provides accurate and timely employee-related information and data for the Annual Sustainability Report and Annual Stockholders Report.
3.3 Provides required employee compensation and benefits information for the Non-Executive Key Management Personnel Compensation Report and other audit requirements.
4.0 KRA: Compensation Administration and Support
Responsible for supporting the administration and continuous improvement of compensation programs in alignment with the organization's policies, structure, and business requirements.
4.1 Assists in the development and maintenance of salary structures, including salary bands and job evaluation tools and processes, to support internal equity and external competitiveness.
4.2 Supports the implementation and maintenance of the job leveling structure to ensure consistent classification of positions.
4.3 Coordinates salary market analysis and benchmarking activities and provides recommendations for improvements to compensation programs.
4.4 Coordinates and supports the administration and implementation of annual salary reviews, promotions, salary adjustments, and other incentive programs.
4.5 Prepares compensation analysis and pay offer studies to support recruitment and employee movement decisions.
4.6 Assists in the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) related to employee salaries and benefits.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, payroll, HR operations, or a related HR function, preferably with hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
3. Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll, statutory benefits, and BIR requirements, including government-mandated contributions, payroll tax compliance, Form 1601C, and Alphalist/2316.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and HRIS, with strong skills in payroll reconciliation, data analysis, employee records management, and preparation of HR and compensation reports.
5. Experience in compensation administration, including salary benchmarking, salary review, job evaluation/job leveling, pay offer analysis, and preparation of compensation-related reports.
6. Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage confidential employee information, meet deadlines, identify process improvements, and coordinate effectively with Finance, HR, employees, and other stakeholders.
7. Willing to report onsite at Primex Tower, EDSA corner Connecticut, San Juan City, Monday-Friday 9am-6pm
