Job Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible in leading and scaling core HR functions for a growing commercial cleaning business with a distributed, multi-site workforce. This role drives compliant, employee-centered HR operations while improving hiring quality, onboarding effectiveness, retention, and manager capability across field and office teams.
Responsibilities:
Leads day-to-day HR operations, employee records, escalations, and policy implementation.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage/hour and documentation standards.
Partners with Operations to maintain compliant timekeeping, job classifications, and pay practices.
Supports hiring for hourly field and back-office roles, including screening and onboarding execution.
Builds structured onboarding programs to improve retention and job readiness across distributed teams.
Coaches managers on performance management, attendance policies, and corrective actions.
Leads investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes with consistency and discretion.
Implements practical performance processes suited for a high-volume field-services workforce.
Oversees benefits administration, leave management, and workers compensation coordination.
Partners with Operations on safety documentation and HROps alignment.
Manages HRIS administration, reporting, and data integrity.
Tracks key HR metrics (turnover, time-to-fill, ER trends) and drives process improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR generalist experience.
Minimum of two (2) years in a lead or supervisory role.
Experience with HR systems (HRIS and/or ATS) is required.
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices (wage/hour fundamentals, investigations, documentation, compliance).
Experience supporting an hourly, high-volume, multi-site workforce (field services or operations-heavy environments).
Dayforce experience preferred.
HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) is a plus.
