Job Description

As an HR Generalist, your mission is to provide dependable, hands-on support to the HR Manager across the employee lifecycle. You will help ensure that HR processes—from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, performance management, engagement and offboarding—are highly organized, responsive and consistently implemented.

You will also coordinate the administrative requirements of the company's international contractor engagements while keeping employee and contractor records and processes properly separated.

The ideal candidate is approachable, organized and proactive, with practical experience handling HR operations, employee documentation and multiple people-related priorities in a growing organization.

What You'll Do

Recruitment and Workforce Planning

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, initial HR interviews, candidate communication, reference checks, employment offers and pre-employment requirements.
  • Maintain recruitment and workforce trackers, monitor vacancies and support headcount, manpower and succession-planning activities.
  • Maintain updated organizational charts, job descriptions and position information in coordination with the HR Manager and department heads.

Employee Lifecycle and HR Services

  • Manage employee onboarding, probationary requirements, movements and offboarding, including documents, orientations, access, equipment and clearances.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, 201 files and HRIS information, including appropriate retention and secure disposal of records.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and process employment certifications, benefits concerns and other HR documentation.
  • Monitor attendance, leave, tardiness, schedules and employee data, and coordinate required payroll information with Finance.
  • Assist with SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, company benefits, employee claims, salary-adjustment documentation and other employment-related changes.

Employee Relations and Policy Support

  • Document employee concerns, gather relevant information, coordinate meetings and prepare notices and disciplinary documents using approved procedures and templates.
  • Maintain employee relations and disciplinary trackers, monitor due process timelines and escalate complex or higher-risk matters to the HR Manager.
  • Assist in drafting, updating and communicating HR policies, forms, process guides and standard operating procedures, including employee acknowledgments.

Performance Management and Development

  • Coordinate probationary, quarterly, annual and other performance reviews, including goal-setting, reminders, documentation, calibration support and employee acknowledgment.
  • Assist in administering coaching plans and Performance Improvement Plans, including scheduling reviews and monitoring agreed actions and deadlines.
  • Coordinate training and development activities, including schedules, materials, attendance, recordings, completion monitoring and evaluations.

Engagement, Communication and Employee Welfare

  • Assist in planning employee engagement activities, recognition programs, surveys, company events and internal communication initiatives.
  • Prepare clear and employee-friendly announcements, reminders, onboarding materials and HR guides.
  • Support employee wellness, occupational safety and health, emergency-preparedness and workplace-welfare initiatives with the designated Safety Officer and relevant departments.
  • Maintain budgets, supplier documentation and expense trackers for assigned training, benefits and employee activities.

International Contractor Administration

  • Coordinate contractor onboarding, engagement-review reminders, renewals and offboarding with Legal, Finance, IT and designated business representatives.
  • Maintain separate and accurate contractor records covering engagement periods, review dates, renewal requirements and documentation status.
  • Ensure that employee and contractor records and processes remain clearly separated, and refer contractual, classification, tax or country-specific concerns to Legal or Finance.

HR Compliance, Reporting and Process Improvement

  • Coordinate routine DOLE reports, HR compliance requirements and supporting documents for labor inspections, audits or government inquiries.
  • Prepare reports covering recruitment, headcount, attendance, turnover, employee movements, performance, training and employee relations.
  • Maintain a clear distinction between employee headcount and international contractor engagement data in workforce reports.
  • Recommend improvements to HR workflows, trackers, templates, digital records and automated reminders.
  • Work closely with Finance, Legal, IT and department heads to ensure HR requirements and action items are completed on time.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of hands-on HR generalist experience, preferably within a Philippine company.
  • Practical experience in recruitment, employee lifecycle administration, employee relations, performance management and HR documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Philippine labor standards, procedural due process and routine DOLE-related compliance.
  • Familiarity with SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and other mandatory employment requirements.
  • Experience using an HRIS and maintaining employee databases, trackers and digital personnel files.
  • Experience supporting remote team members or international contractor administration is an advantage.
  • Strong written communication, documentation, organization and follow-through.
  • Good judgment, professionalism and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive matters.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and other digital collaboration tools.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and opportunities for professional growth.
  • A collaborative work environment where your input shapes the future of a growing company.
  • Individualized employee experience with regular feedback meetings.
  • A supportive team culture with short decision-making processes.
  • Join an international team passionate about their work.
