Position Overview
The HR Generalist supports and executes day-to-day HR operations across internal employees and EOR employees. This role plays a critical part in onboarding, documentation, benefits administration, compliance, HR systems coordination, and employee engagement. The HR Generalist works closely with the HR Manager / HR Business Partner to ensure smooth, timely, and compliant HR processes across all HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding, Contracts & Documentation
- Assist in drafting, preparing, and coordinating employment contracts for all onboarding employees (internal and EOR), in alignment with company standards and local labor regulations.
- Process and manage employee-related documents, including:
- Employment notices
- Notices to Explain (NTE)
- Clearances
- Certificates of Employment (COE)
- Other HR letters and documentation
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper filing of all employee records.
Background Checks & Compliance
- Oversee and process background checks for all employees, including internal staff and EOR-managed employees.
- Track completion and maintain proper documentation in compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and organize HR documentation for audits and compliance checks.
- Coordinate with government agencies for mandatory reporting and compliance (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, etc.).
Benefits Administration
- Manage employee benefits administration, including HMO enrollment, updates, and offboarding.
- Monitor benefits billing, Statements of Account (SOA), and coordinate with Finance and providers on discrepancies or clarifications.
- Respond to basic employee inquiries related to benefits and coverage.
HR Systems, Access & Equipment
- Coordinate equipment processing, issuance, return, and tracking.
- Handle access tagging, system access requests, and account creation in coordination with IT and relevant departments.
- Ensure timely provisioning and revocation of access during onboarding, transfers, and offboarding.
Employee Engagement & HR Support
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities, initiatives, and internal HR programs.
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and address routine HR-related concerns.
- Support the HR Manager / HR Business Partner across all HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, engagement, and HR process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR generalist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
