Job Summary:
This role is vital for managing employee relations, mediating HR-related matters, and promoting a positive work environment. The HR-ER Specialist will be responsible for addressing concerns from both employees and management, particularly in resolving conflicts, handling grievances, and supporting compliance with labor laws.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
- Conduct thorough, impartial, and timely investigations into employee complaints, misconduct, and policy violations.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on employee relations issues, performance management, and workplace best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Draft, review, and recommend corrective actions, disciplinary notices, and other ER-related documentation.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, and Leadership teams to develop strategies that promote employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
- Monitor workplace trends and proactively address potential employee relations concerns.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs for managers and employees on policies, code of conduct, and conflict management.
- Maintain accurate records of cases, investigations, and ER activities, always ensuring confidentiality and integrity.
- Support initiatives to strengthen company culture, employee morale, and a respectful workplace environment.
- Assistin responding to employee queries and concerns related to workplace policies, procedures, and practices.
- Support in documenting and tracking employee relations cases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Help coordinate andparticipatein investigations of employee complaints or workplace incidents under supervision.
- Provide administrative support in preparing notices, reports, and communication related to disciplinary actions or corrective measures.
- Assist HR Business Partners and managers in ensuring fair and consistent policyapplication.
- Conduct initial research on labor laws, company policies, and best practices asrequired.
- Help organize training sessions and awareness programs on workplace behavior, compliance, and company values.
- Maintain records, reports, and metrics for ER activities andassistin HR audits when needed.
- Participate in employee engagement activities that promote a positive work environment.
Experience in a fast-paced, multinational, or shared services environment.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPHR, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Background in labor relations, compliance, or legal support preferred.
Job Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in industrial /organizational psychology, Behavioral Science, Bachelor of Laws, Business Management, Organizational Development or Equivalent.
2. At least 1 year of experience in Human Resources and Administration handling HR General functions or Labor Relations in particular in BPO setting.
3. Solid experience in labor relations and employee relations gained from agile environment.
4. Knowledge in Employee and Labor Relations, Law and Government.
5. Leadership and industry certifications will be an advantage.
6. Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
7. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of employee and records.
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all employees.
9. Experience handling DOLE cases and familiarity with local labor laws and regulations.
10. With BPO experience.
11. Able to work night shift and onsite in Mandaue City or Cebu City
12. Can start ASAP
