We are currently hiring for HR Business Partner based in Manila, The Philippines! This is a strategic and operational HR partner for the Philippines entity, supporting approximately 100 headcounts across business functions in Manila, Bulacan and Davao. This role is the primary HR point of contact for PH employees and managers and works closely with the Group HR team to ensure consistency in HR practices across the group while adapting to Philippine labour law and cultural context.
Key Responsibilities
First Project - HR Setup & Transition
- Lead the transition of HR operations from outsourced vendor to in-house including office setup
- Implement foundational HR processes for the Philippines from the ground up – covering employee lifecycle, payroll administration handover and statutory compliance.
HR Business Partnering
- Serve as the primary HR advisor for PH business leaders and managers — providing guidance on people matters, team management, and employee issues
- Partner with department heads on PH workforce and headcount planning — contributing inputs to the group manpower plan
- Provide market-level HR insights and people data interpretation to PH business leaders — attrition trends, engagement signals, headcount movements
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Handle all PH employee relations matters — grievances, conflict mediation, and sensitive personal cases — with empathy and objectivity
- Lead disciplinary processes, show cause letters, and domestic inquiries in compliance with the Philippine Labour Code and DOLE regulations
- Ensure IR practices are consistent with group standards while adapted to Philippine-specific legal requirements
Performance Management
- Coordinate the PH performance review cycle — managing timelines, communications, documentation and completion tracking
- Support KPI setting for PH employees and provide guidance to managers on writing meaningful, measurable goals
- Facilitate talent calibration sessions with PH business leaders to ensure consistent and fair performance ratings
- Manage Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) guiding managers and monitoring progress through to resolution
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Own PH employee engagement — executing the engagement survey, analyzing results, developing action plans and communicating outcomes to employees and leadership
- Conduct regular pulse checks and informal feedback sessions to monitor team sentiment and identify early retention risks
- Plan and coordinate PH employee events and engagement activities
- Monitor PH attrition trends and implement proactive retention actions in partnership with business leaders
- Drive new hire integration for PH employees — 30/60/90-day check-ins, buddy program, and manager alignment
Policies, Compliance & Government Liaison
- Own the development and communication of PH-specific HR policies — adapted from group policy framework and compliant with Philippine labour law
- Monitor regulatory updates affecting PH employment and proactively flag changes to the Group
Learning & Development
- Identify PH training needs through business conversations, performance data, and skills gap analysis
- Contribute to the group L&D roadmap by providing PH-specific capability requirements
- Coordinate training delivery for PH employees — scheduling, vendor liaison, and attendance tracking
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Own PH people data — headcount, attrition, absenteeism, and engagement — and provide regular analysis for group reporting
- Contribute PH salary and benefits market data to the group benchmarking exercise
Requirements
Must Have
- 3–6 years of HR generalist or HRBP experience
- Good working knowledge of the Philippine Labour Code, DOLE regulations, and IR processes including domestic inquiry and NLRC procedures
- Proven ability to handle employee relations and disciplinary cases independently with objectivity and sound judgment
- Experience supporting business leaders in a BP advisory capacity — not just admin execution
- Strong communication skills in English— able to present, facilitate, and influence at manager level
- Comfortable working in a lean team and able to build processes from scratch
Good to Have
- Experience in a regional or multi-country HR setup — reporting to a group HR function outside PH
- Exposure to performance management framework design or implementation
- Experience running employee engagement surveys and translating results into action plans
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms
- Background in telecom, tech, or BPO industry
