Job Description

Job Summary

The HR Associate Payroll is responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll for office staff and truck drivers. This role ensures compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements while supporting HR operations such as attendance tracking, employee records, and payroll reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

  • Process monthly/bi-weekly payroll for staff and truck drivers accurately and on time
  • Calculate wages, overtime, trip-based pay, mileage, incentives, deductions, and allowances for drivers
  • Manage statutory deductions and contributions
  • Handle payroll adjustments, arrears, bonuses, advances, and final settlements
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies
  • Maintain attendance, timesheets, trip logs, and route records for drivers
  • Coordinate with operations/dispatch teams to verify driver work hours and trips
  • Track leaves, absences, late arrivals, and overtime for all employees
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and personal files
  • Assist with onboarding payroll setup for new hires
  • Support exit formalities including full and final payroll processing
  • Respond to employee queries related to payroll, deductions, and payslips
  • Prepare payroll reports, salary registers, and management summaries
  • Support audits and internal reviews related to payroll and HR data
  • Ensure confidentiality and data accuracy at all times

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in HR, Commerce, Accounting, or related field
  • 1 year of experience in payroll processing (experience with drivers/logistics payroll preferred)
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, statutory compliance, and wage calculations
  • Experience with payroll software and MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and coordination skills
