Overview

The HR Associate Compensation & Benefits is responsible for supporting and administering the organization's total rewards programs. This role ensures competitive salary structures, compliance with government-mandated requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, and BIR), and the effective management of employee benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans. The position also serves as a key point of contact for employees, providing timely and accurate assistance on compensation- and benefits-related concerns.

Key ResponsibilitiesCompensation Management

  • Administer and maintain compensation programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and incentive plans.
  • Process employee monetary benefits such as referral incentives, funeral assistance, and various allowances.
  • Compute final and separation pay for employees who resign or retire.
  • Encode salary adjustments and leave credits for payroll processing.
  • Monitor and audit leave balances, ensuring timely processing of cash conversions and hospital account offsets.

Benefits Administration

  • Ensure timely filing and processing of SSS benefits (sickness, EC, maternity/paternity, and others) to prevent delays.
  • Review and approve SSS salary and calamity loan applications through the employer portal.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation for contributions and loans to SSS, PhilHealth, and PAG-IBIG.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
  • Assess existing benefits programs and recommend enhancements to improve employee satisfaction and cost efficiency.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of new-hire reports to SSS and PhilHealth (ER2, R1a).
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports to PSA and DOLE, including the 13th Month Pay Report and Annual Medical Report (AMR).
  • Generate statutory benefits reports and other compliance-related documentation.
  • Produce monthly analytics and reports to support HR and organizational initiatives.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date compensation and benefits records.

Program Evaluation

  • Track and assess the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Employee Communication

  • Develop and distribute communication materials related to compensation and benefits.
  • Provide prompt support and resolution for employee compensation and benefits inquiries.

Collaboration and Support

  • Partner with HR, Audit, Accounting, and leadership teams to align total rewards initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Support recruitment and retention efforts by helping maintain competitive total rewards offerings.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and labor law updates affecting compensation and benefits.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance program effectiveness and competitiveness.

QualificationsEducation

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, or a related behavioral science discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in compensation and benefits administration.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of government-mandated benefits and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
