The HR Analyst processes core system transactions such as employee profile creation, new hire setup, job and organisational changes, transfers, promotions and terminations. The role ensures that employee information is complete, accurate and maintained in accordance with established People Operations processes, approval requirements and data privacy standards.

This role is suited to an early-career HR professional with approximately 1-2 years of experience who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with HR systems and high volumes of employee data, and motivated by delivering reliable and efficient People Operations support.

Key Responsibilities

HRIS Transactions & Employee Data Management

  • Create and maintain employee profiles and records in the HRIS, ensuring required information is complete, accurate and entered within agreed timelines.
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions including new hires, job changes, promotions, transfers, changes to reporting lines, organisational changes and terminations.
  • Update employee personal, employment, position and organisational data based on approved requests and supporting documentation.
  • Validate transaction requests and source documentation before processing to ensure required information and approvals are complete.
  • Perform regular data checks and reconciliations to identify missing, inconsistent or inaccurate employee information and coordinate corrections as required.
  • Maintain data integrity across HR systems, employee files and related records, following established data standards and naming conventions.
  • Handle employee data with a high level of confidentiality and in accordance with applicable privacy, security and record-management requirements.

Employee Lifecycle Administration

  • Support onboarding by coordinating employee information, creating system records, completing new hire transactions and ensuring required documentation is captured.
  • Prepare and process employment-related documentation associated with employee changes, including contracts, variation letters, confirmation letters and other standard correspondence.
  • Process approved changes to employment details and ensure corresponding HRIS records and documentation are updated consistently.
  • Process employee terminations and offboarding transactions, including effective dates, system updates, required documentation and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain complete and organised electronic employee records throughout the employee lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

  • Approximately 1-2 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, HR Administration, HR Shared Services or a similar transactional HR role.
  • Hands-on experience using an HRIS or HR management system to create and maintain employee records and process employee transactions.
  • Practical experience processing employee lifecycle changes such as new hires, job changes, transfers, promotions and terminations.
  • Strong data-entry skills and a high level of accuracy when working with employee information and system transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify data discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a transaction queue, recurring activities and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to follow established processes and controls while exercising sound judgement when information is incomplete or an exception requires escalation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, managers and HR stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential and sensitive employee information.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across different locations and time zones.
  • Proactive, dependable and service-oriented approach to People Operations support.
  • Experience with HR administration is preferred; exposure to supporting Australian employees or regional HR operations is an advantage.
