Job Description

Role Overview:

This role will oversee the Philippine-based team while also managing Australian recruitment activities. The successful candidate will help ensure that the offshore team is well-supported, engaged, and performing effectively, while also driving recruitment activities for client operations.

This is a hands-on and highly collaborative role that requires someone who can work independently, communicate confidently with Australian stakeholders, and manage both HR and recruitment responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Part 1 | Philippine Team Management

  • Manage the offshore team's KPIs, HR, and professional engagement
  • Performance management, end-of-day reports, and dashboarding
  • Manage annual leave, sick leave, and offboarding when needed
  • Monthly timesheets for local and international staff
  • HR record management and training matrix
  • Staff engagement activities and culture initiatives
  • Monthly HR and recruitment reporting
  • Your conduit between Client and Sysgen

Part 2 | Australian Recruitment & HR

  • Manage Australian recruitment: screening, advertising, and headhunting
  • Source and headhunt AU candidates via LinkedIn and other platforms
  • First point of contact for AU recruiters; manage AU recruitment agents
  • Onboarding and offboarding of Australian staff
  • Screen candidates and complete reference checks
  • Manage ad placements on Seek and similar job boards
  • HR items, training, and record management

Key Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proven experience in HR, recruitment, or talent acquisition
  • Experience working with Western businesses, particularly Australia, New Zealand, UK, or Canada
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Confident in communicating with senior stakeholders, candidates, and recruitment partners
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience would be an advantage but is not required:

  • Knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work, and award interpretation
  • Previous experience working directly with Australian companies or clients
  • Experience in the construction or mining industry
  • Experience managing offshore or remote teams
