Hosting & Web Developer (WordPress, Shopify, GHL)

Business Warriors is a fast-growing digital marketing agency based in Perth, Western Australia, serving beauty, wellness, and aesthetics clients (salons, clinics, medispas, skin clinics) across Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, and the UK. We're looking for an experienced Web Developer with a strong hosting and server management background to take ownership of the technical health, hosting infrastructure, and security of our clients websites. This is a contract position.

About the Role

This role is as much about hosting as it is about development. You'll be the go-to technical expert managing hosting accounts and hosting infrastructure across our entire portfolio of client websites (primarily WordPress, with Shopify, GoHighLevel (GHL), and custom-coded websites in the mix), making sure every account is provisioned correctly, monitored, kept secure, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on role covering hosting account setup and management, plugin/theme maintenance, and proactive security hardening and malware prevention, so our agency and our clients can trust that every hosting account and site under our care is protected and performing.

What You'll Be Doing

• Owning hosting account setup, configuration, and ongoing management across our entire client portfolio
• Monitoring hosting accounts and server performance, and resolving hosting-related issues as they arise
• Performing regular WordPress maintenance, keeping plugins, themes, and core files updated and conflict-free
• Building and supporting websites on WordPress, Shopify, GoHighLevel (GHL), and custom-coded websites, using AI tools to help with the build
• Implementing and maintaining strong hosting and WordPress security practices to prevent hacking and malware
• Monitoring hosting accounts and sites for vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, or signs of compromise, and responding quickly to resolve issues
• Setting up and maintaining backups, firewalls, and security plugins/tools at the hosting level
• Troubleshooting hosting, site, downtime, and performance problems
• Keeping clear records of hosting logins, renewals, and hosting account health across all client accounts
• Working closely with our marketing and account management teams to support client hosting and website needs
  

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years experience in web development, hosting account management, and website maintenance
• Strong hands-on experience managing hosting accounts and hosting environments (required)
• Strong hands-on experience with WordPress (required), plus Shopify and GoHighLevel (GHL)
• Experience building custom-coded websites, fluent with the use of AI coding tools such as Claude or Codex
• A strong emphasis on and proven experience with hosting and website security: hardening hosting accounts and WordPress sites against hacking and malware
• Ability to manage multiple hosting accounts and client sites simultaneously with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of ongoing hosting and site maintenance without close supervision
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach
