Job Description

The Host Recruiter is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle of Hosts for travel healthcare assignments across the United States. This is a high-impact, sales-driven recruitment role focused on building a strong candidate pipeline, developing relationships, generating submissions, and converting qualified candidates into successful placements and starts.

The role combines recruitment, candidate relationship management, and sales. The Host Recruiter serves as a career advisor to candidates while actively driving recruitment activity, presenting opportunities, pre-closing candidates, and closing offers. Success in this role is measured through candidate activity, submissions, placements, starts, redeployment, and referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Generation

  • Proactively source, engage, and qualify Host candidates for travel healthcare assignments.
  • Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified and ready-to-place candidates.
  • Conduct outreach through calls, texts, email, job boards, referrals, social media, and other sourcing channels.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and understand their career goals, assignment preferences, compensation expectations, availability, and motivators.
  • Maintain regular contact with candidates to keep them engaged and active throughout the recruitment process.

2. Candidate Screening & Qualification

  • Conduct interviews to assess candidates against job and assignment requirements.
  • Evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, availability, location preferences, compensation expectations, and readiness for travel assignments.
  • Educate candidates on market conditions, pay expectations, assignment requirements, locations, and available opportunities.
  • Identify potential barriers to placement and proactively address or escalate concerns.
  • Ensure candidate profiles and documentation are complete, accurate, and market-ready.

3. Sales & Placement Execution

  • Match qualified candidates with appropriate open travel assignments.
  • Present job opportunities clearly, including compensation, location, schedule, assignment expectations, and other relevant details.
  • Generate consistent candidate submissions based on available opportunities.
  • Pre-close candidates by confirming their commitment to key assignment details before submission.
  • Manage candidate activity and follow-ups to maximize submission and placement opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close candidates on offers while addressing questions and concerns.
  • Guide candidates through offer acceptance and all required pre-start activities.
  • Drive candidates from initial engagement through submission, offer acceptance, and successful start.

4. Candidate Experience & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment and placement process.
  • Keep candidates informed, engaged, and updated from initial contact through assignment start.
  • Anticipate and resolve potential obstacles that may affect placement or start dates.
  • Provide a positive and professional candidate experience while maintaining a strong sales and results orientation.
  • Build long-term relationships that support redeployment, repeat placements, and candidate referrals.

5. Collaboration & Recruitment Operations

  • Partner closely with Account Managers, Credentialing, Operations, and other internal teams to align candidate profiles with available assignments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand current and upcoming staffing needs.
  • Ensure candidate profiles are competitive, complete, and positioned effectively for submission.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of candidate activity, pipeline status, submissions, offers, placements, and starts.
  • Monitor individual recruitment performance against established activity, submission, placement, and start goals.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including applicable local, state, and federal fair employment practices.

Job Qualifications

  • College-level education or degree.
  • US recruitment experience within the last 2 years.
  • Experience interviewing and qualifying candidates against job requirements.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, sales, staffing, or another high-activity, quota-driven environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with candidates, employees, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, multitask, and work with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to function effectively as a cohesive team member through open communication and proactive support of team performance goals.
  • Ability to use a touch-tone telephone, navigate a PC screen, type at least 35 words per minute, and demonstrate proficiency in basic Windows operations and standard office equipment such as fax machines, printers, and copiers.
  • Ability to speak and write professionally and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be willing to work in rotating shifts or US time zone.
  • Must be willing to work in the office at Bridgetowne, QC.

Preferred Qualifications

  • US healthcare recruitment experience.
  • Travel clinician recruitment experience — strongly preferred.
  • Full-cycle recruitment experience, from sourcing and screening through offer acceptance and start.
  • Experience recruiting Hosts or other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience working in a staffing agency or healthcare staffing environment.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding recruitment, sales, placement, or activity-based performance targets.
