We are looking for a Homologation and CCS (Connected Car Service) Officer who will be responsible for managing vehicle homologation, type approval, and regulatory compliance requirements for ACMobility's vehicle models and variants.
The role will ensure that all vehicles meet applicable local regulatory requirements before market launch by coordinating closely with government agencies, principals, Product Managers, and internal stakeholders. This position plays a critical role in securing timely approvals, maintaining compliance, and minimizing regulatory risks that may impact product launches.
Key Responsibilities
Homologation and Type Approval
- Lead the end-to-end preparation and submission of homologation and type approval applications for new vehicle models, variants, and facelifts.
- Coordinate homologation requirements with relevant regulatory agencies, including EMB-DENR and DOE.
- Prepare, consolidate, and validate technical documents, vehicle specifications, certificates, and test reports required for regulatory submissions.
- Review documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Process and monitor homologation applications through relevant government systems.
- Track application status, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and proactively follow up on pending requirements.
- Identify potential approval bottlenecks and escalate risks that may affect target vehicle launch dates.
Regulatory Intelligence and Compliance Monitoring
- Monitor changes in vehicle safety, emissions, environmental, and homologation regulations that may affect ACMobility products.
- Assess the potential impact of new or amended regulations on current and upcoming vehicle models.
- Maintain an updated database or tracker of regulatory requirements, approvals, and compliance status.
- Prepare and communicate timely regulatory updates and compliance requirements to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Product Marketing team in ensuring product plans and launch timelines consider applicable regulatory requirements.
Connected Car Service (CCS) Support
- Coordinate with internal teams and vehicle principals on requirements related to Connected Car Services and vehicle connectivity.
- Support the review and documentation of CCS-related regulatory or technical requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure CCS features and services are aligned with applicable local requirements prior to deployment.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting connected vehicles, telematics, and related technologies.
Stakeholder and Agency Coordination
- Serve as a key point of contact for homologation and regulatory compliance matters.
- Coordinate with Product Managers, principals, technical teams, and other internal stakeholders to obtain required information and documentation.
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with relevant government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Facilitate timely resolution of regulatory questions, deficiencies, and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in vehicle homologation, regulatory compliance, automotive product management, technical documentation, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with DENR/EMB, DOE, vehicle emissions, safety standards, and type approval processes is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage technical and regulatory documentation.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple applications, deadlines, and regulatory requirements simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
