Qualifications
Required:
• Current License Vocational Nurse, Registered Nurse or Physical Therapy license
• Supervisory experience – management, training, developing people and recruiting
• Superior research skills - particularly for Medicare rejections, ICD10 and reimbursement. Must be comfortable with calling Medicare and understanding errors.
• Expert in ICD10 and clinical coding
• Tech Savvy – ability to learn new systems including Electronic Medical Systems
• Deep experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Home Healthcare – patient management, medical documentation and clinician support

Your Day to Day Activities
The QA lead will primarily manage the existing QA team. The lead will set goals, research errors and ensure the QA team has everything they need to QA and bill. This includes training, auditing and providing constant feedback to the team.
QA lead will also review medical records to ensure they are complete and accurate. To achieve this, QA must be detailed oriented and work closely with the clinical staff.
Specific activities include:
• Manage QA team to achieve targets
• Prepare daily reports to assign work, analyze rejections and unblock issues for staff to achieve goals
• Drive operations and clinical department to achieve all items required to complete QA
• Review Home Health charts to ensure documentation is complete and accurate
• Utilize ICD-10 Coding for medical diagnosis required for billing
• Work with clinical staff to correct issues
• Document common issues to prevent future clinical errors
• Perform chart audits on an ongoing basis to verify correctness, completeness, and conformance to standards
• Create reports to document team progress
• Analyze charts to maximize reimbursement
• Achieve 5-star rating through chart review and training
• Appeal low reimbursements and outlier payments
• Bill medicare and analyze and prevent billing errors
