It is an independent member of the BDO Alliance USA, a nationwide association of independently owned local and regional accounting, consulting and service firms with similar client service goals.
We are seeking a dedicated tax professional to join our team. We expect our seniors to exhibit excellent technical skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
The main responsibilities of a Hiring and Onboarding Coordinator include:
- Manage end-to-end new hire paperwork processing, ensuring completeness and accuracy before a caregiver is cleared to work schedule
- Complete and file federal employment forms: Form W-4 (tax withholding) and Form I-9 (employment eligibility verification), including reviewing acceptable identity/work authorization documents
- Process Pennsylvania State Criminal Background Check
- Process FBI Fingerprint-Based Criminal Background Check for applicants who have not been PA residents for the past two years
- Process PA Child Abuse History Clearance, where applicable to the role or client population
- Coordinate TB testing/screening paperwork (PPD or chest x-ray results) and track expiration/renewal dates
- Administer or coordinate competency exams/skills evaluations for caregivers (e.g., home health aide competency testing)
- Collect and file photo release/consent forms
- Set up direct deposit enrollment and banking information
- Obtain signed Caregiver Acknowledgement forms (policies, code of conduct, job duties, etc.)
- Maintain organized, audit-ready personnel files in compliance with state licensing and Medicare/Medicaid survey standards
- Track expiration dates for all time-sensitive clearances and proactively initiate renewals
- Communicate with candidates throughout the onboarding process to ensure timely document submission
- Coordinate with HR, scheduling, and clinical supervisors to confirm caregiver readiness for client assignment
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee/applicant records per HIPAA and agency policy
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, onboarding, or administrative coordination, preferably in home health, healthcare, or staffing
- Working knowledge of PA background check and clearance requirements (Act 34, Act 33, FBI clearances) strongly preferred
- Familiarity with I-9/E-Verify and general employment law basics
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple files/deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR/onboarding software
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willing to work 100% remotely on an 8:00 PM–5:00 AM EST schedule.
