What's The Role All About
The Outsourced Heavy Maintenance Specialist is responsible for overseeing outsourced heavy maintenance activities at local and international MRO facilities. This role ensures that aircraft maintenance is executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and cost-efficiency, while maintaining strict adherence to project timelines and regulatory compliance
Who Are We Looking For
- College or University graduate is preferred but not required
- Aircraft Maintenance and/or Aeronautical Engineering License is an advantage
- With hands-on experience in heavy maintenance operations, including Entry into Service (EIS), aircraft redeliveries, and lease returns
- Experience working with Airbus and/or Boeing aircraft types is required
Major Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage outsourced Heavy Maintenance Visits (HMV) and ad hoc checks for the PAL fleet, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
- Monitor heavy maintenance provider performance to ensure timely completion of checks and release of aircraft in accordance with airworthiness and quality standards.
- Ensure heavy maintenance activities support the department's key performance target for aircraft operational availability, minimizing extended ground time.
- Coordinate resolution of technical issues arising during heavy maintenance to prevent delays and maintain continuity in fleet operations.
- Oversee compliance with airframe and engine directives, service bulletins, and scheduled maintenance tasks during heavy checks, including required repairs, modifications, and post-maintenance test flights.
