Healthcare Operations Director

About the Role

This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing large-scale healthcare operations across multiple locations.

The role will provide strategic direction across revenue cycle and related healthcare functions, while partnering with senior stakeholders and clients to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, financial performance, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for large-scale healthcare operations across multiple sites.
• Oversee financial performance, budgets, resource allocation, and operational costs.
• Lead initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency, service quality, and business performance.
• Provide oversight across key revenue cycle and healthcare support functions.
• Monitor operational performance, business metrics, and service-level outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, technology adoption, and digital transformation.
• Lead workforce and capacity planning initiatives across teams and locations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges and critical escalations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Represent operations during senior-level business reviews and client discussions.
• Support account growth and identify opportunities to strengthen service capabilities.
• Develop leaders and build a high-performing, engaged, and collaborative organization.
• Partner with HR, talent, workforce management, technology, and transformation teams on strategic initiatives.
• Support business continuity and operational risk-management initiatives.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience in U.S. healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• 10+ years of leadership experience within PFS/RCM or related healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• Significant experience leading large-scale healthcare operations.
• Strong knowledge of the broader revenue cycle, including areas such as patient access, patient financial services, coding, collections, AR, denials, revenue integrity, and contact center operations.
• Experience managing large patient- and payer-facing operations, including inbound and outbound contact center environments.
• Proven experience managing P&L, budgets, costs, and operational performance across multiple sites.
• Strong client and senior stakeholder management experience.
• Experience leading large teams and managing talent development, workforce planning, and attrition challenges.
• Knowledge of U.S. healthcare compliance and data privacy requirements, including HIPAA.
