Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Healthcare Operations Director are:

  • Acts as the subject matter expert on US healthcare outsourcing delivery models, including RCM, Claims, UM, and Patient Support.
  • Supports presales and solution design, partnering with Sales on RFPs, client presentations, and aligning operational capabilities with client needs.
  • Drives consultative selling by identifying value‑add opportunities like process improvements, automation, and new service lines for cost/efficiency gains.
  • Provides strategic operational leadership, guiding Operations Managers on performance, staffing, and KPI management across accounts.
  • Oversees vertical-level governance, focusing on long‑term account health, profitability, scalability, and continuous process optimization.
  • Serves as executive‑level client partner, leading QBRs, managing escalations, and ensuring client retention and account expansion.
  • Leads people development and talent strategy, mentoring Operations Managers and collaborating with HR to build a strong healthcare talent pipeline.

The Successful Applicant


A Successful Healthcare Operations Director Should Have

  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor's in Nursing, Business, or related field (Master's/MBA preferred); USRN license is a strong advantage.
  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years in BPO/outsourcing with 5+ years in senior leadership (Director/AVP), managing multi-team or multi-account operations.
  • Healthcare & Operational Expertise: Deep knowledge of US healthcare operations (Payer/Provider) including RCM, Claims, and UM; skilled in P&L management, forecasting, resource planning, and familiar with Lean/Six Sigma and healthcare tech platforms.
  • Sales & Executive Skills: Proven ability to support sales cycles, present to clients, drive organic growth, and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders while influencing cross‑functional teams.
