Healthcare Finance Manager (Medical Group Services + RCM)

We're an early-stage healthcare services company supporting physician-led medical groups with accounting, bookkeeping, financial planning, and revenue cycle performance. This is our first finance manager hirea hands-on, player-coach role where you'll deliver for current clients while helping build the processes and team we'll scale over time.

Important: This role requires meaningful provider / medical group healthcare finance experience and comfort working with RCM workflows (insurance billing, eligibility, denials, payment posting, and patient collections). Candidates with primarily general corporate FP&A backgrounds (without healthcare revenue cycle exposure) won't be a fit.

What you'll do

• Own finance delivery for a portfolio of medical group clients: monthly close support, reconciliations, reporting, cash flow tracking, budgeting/forecasting
• Partner with internal teams and/or billing vendors to improve revenue cycle performance: eligibility & benefits verification, claims submission / rejections / payer follow-up, EOB/ERA review, payment posting, contractual adjustments, underpayments, denials management & appeals tracking, patient collections and A/R follow-up, and much more!
• Build recurring KPI reporting: A/R aging, days in A/R, denial rate, net collections, cash forecasting tied to payer cycles
• Create templates, SOPs, dashboards, and controls to standardize delivery as we grow

Requirements (must have)

• 4+ years in healthcare finance supporting US based medical groups / provider organizations (or a healthcare services firm deeply tied to RCM)
• Hands-on exposure to RCM artifacts and metrics: A/R aging, EOB/ERA, denials/appeals, eligibility verification, contractual adjustments/write-offs
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable owning deliverables end-to-end in a startup environment
• Nice to have: experience managing an outsourced billing vendor; familiarity with athena/eCW/Elation/AdvancedMD/NextGen/Epic/Resolute, Availity/Waystar/Change/Optum; CPA/MBA.
