Job Description:

To plan, lead, and oversee the implementation of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) programs across the warehouse operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of personnel while securing the company assets.

This role is responsible in minimizing operational risks, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory compliance and other industry established standards, and fostering a strong culture of safety and security in a fast-paced e-commerce fulfillment environment.

A. Health & Safety Management

  • Engage in planning the daily warehouse walkthroughs and inspections to identify unsafe conditions, practices, or hazards.
  • Ensure all personnel follow safety operational procedures (e.g., warehouse processes, use of forklifts, MHE, Conveyors, Tote-to-Man Automations).
  • Plan the job hazard analysis (JHA), safety protocols, and emergency response procedures and ensure that personnel will follow based on the agreed safety procedures.
  • Oversee compliance with safety signage, traffic flow, and other crowd control processes inside the warehouse.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits related to HSSE, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards and the timely closure of audit findings.

B. Security

  • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Lead risk assessment and develop mitigation plans.
  • Manage incident response, investigations, and root-cause analysis
  • Coordinate with internal teams specifically Support Lead, HRBP and Ethics and Integrity Team during Security incidents.
  • Conduct's performance review, training, and capability development of the Security service provider.
  • Monitor and analyze security reports and trends.

C. Environmental Compliance

  • Monitor waste management (e.g., packaging waste, hazardous materials) and ensure to keep abreast on the DENR regulations.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals (e.g., cleaning agents, batteries).
  • Ensure submission of quarterly reportorial requirements and semi -annual reports to DENR-EMB.


D. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct HSSE orientation and toolbox talks for new and existing employees.
  • Coordinate safety drills (fire, earthquake, emergency evacuation) in line with BFP and LGU guidelines.


E. Incident & Emergency Response

  • Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, or unsafe practices and recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Act as initiator or coordinator during warehouse emergencies to trigger the BCP, if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Criminology and/or health and safety courses
  • At least 5 years of experience in HSSE (Warehouse or logistics operations experience is preferred but not required)
  • Strong working knowledge of DOLE OSH standards, DENR EMB Standards (ISO 45001, 14001, 9001 and Security practices like TAPA is an advantage)
  • Must be knowledgeable in Pollution Control Officer or Management Head task
  • Must be willing to travel to other Warehouse across the country and able to manage multiple site locations.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and training facilitation skills
  • Ability to work in rotating shifts, weekends, and peak season operations.
  • Skilled in using MS Office, Google Workspace, and safety management systems.
