Job Description

Responsible for designing and implementing company health and safety programs, compliance strategies and sustainable management systems through effective communication or planning with management and employees, including ongoing dialogue, coaching and reinforcement as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a program of study related to Engineering, Criminology, Human Resources, Business Management, Associates Degree or a combination of education and experience
  • 1 2 years experience in the same role

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Possess the Certificate required by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for the implementation of Republic Act No. 11058 also known as the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) law.
  • Philippines qualification as Registered DOLE Level 2 Safety Officer or Registered DOLE Level 3 Safety Officer
  • Good knowledge on implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of the Philippines Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) law.
  • Good knowledge on implementing, understanding rules and regulations of the Safety and Health Standards.
  • Trained and qualified in First Aider and good knowledge in Fire Safety management
  • Exemplifies customer service skills
  • Responsible and result oriented
  • Team player

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensures companys overall health and safety program in compliance with DOLE requirements.
  • Participates and coordinates with health and safety government agencies to ensure internal health and safety program effectiveness and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Organizes and conducts regular health and safety inspection to discover potential health and safety risks, follow up relevant corrective actions till effective closure.
  • Responsible for all Health and safety licenses/permits including areas.
  • Convince Emergency Response Team members and implementing; conduct emergency drill and response plan.
  • Responsible for incident and injury reporting, investigating and corrective actions, and follow up corrective and preventive actions to avoid similar incident from happening again.
  • Conducts regular HS Training and responsible for identifying and forecasting HS training needs and ensure the completion of HS training for relevant employees.
  • Liaises with external authorities, such as the work safety bureau, fire bureau, and environmental protection bureau on HS issues and is the point of contact for those external agencies.
  • Coordinates and helps address relevant work safety, health and fire safety issues with other departments.
  • Inspects areas to ensure that they are compliant with safety regulations.
