Job Summary:
The role Implements the Health and Safety policy in our Antipolo cement manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance by all employees, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers operating within the plant premises. The role monitors and enforces adherence to local Health and Safety regulations to minimize the risk of injury and prevent possible plant stoppages. Moreover, the safety officer oversees compliance with Health and Safety Management Systems and provides support in documentation and record keeping.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures implementation of health and Safety policies, programs, and controls (Occupational Health and Safety, Traffic Safety, Contractor Management, Transport Safety, Construction Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Risk Assessment).
- Serves as liaison with regulatory agencies and stakeholders; ensures compliance and maintains records.
- Monitors KPIs and reports results to plant management.
- Promotes a strong Health and Safety culture across employees and management.
- Facilitates the Health and Safety Committee
- Conducts site inspections and audits
- Conducts risk assessments and reviews.
- Leads incident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensures corrective actions
- Conducts internal and regulatory Health and Safety training.
- Manages contractor selection, accreditation, and performance improvement programs.
- Initiates Health and Safety projects and programs
- Performs administrative and other workplace functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably licensed)
- Meets minimum qualification for Safety Officer 3 based on regulatory requirements
- Knowledgeable in Health and Safety standards and regulatory requirements (Occupational Safety and Health, Transport Safety, Fire Protection and other related standard) preferably in Manufacturing industry.
