Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Makati for a Head Underwriter for Non-Life Insurance. The Head Underwriter will manage the underwriting team, develop underwriting guidelines, assess and approve risk submissions, review policy terms and conditions, and ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards. The role also involves collaborating with the sales and claims teams to align underwriting practices with business goals and optimizing risk management strategies.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Underwriting and a strong understanding of Insurance principles and practices
- Strong Analytical and Finance skills for risk assessment and financial evaluations
- Exceptional Communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders
- Proven leadership experience with a strategic mindset
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in underwriting, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Familiarity with local insurance regulatory standards and compliance requirements
