About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Head/ Senior Operations & Supply Chain Manager to oversee and strengthen our supply chain, logistics, warehouse and inventory operations across the business.
This role will manage two key functions — Logistics & Supply Chain and Warehouse Operations — and work closely with the respective managers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, strong inventory accuracy and scalable operational processes.
The role will have a strong focus on inventory control, operational processes, systems and accountability, ensuring that physical stock movements are accurately reflected in our systems and properly reconciled.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations & Team Management
- Manage and provide direction to the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager and Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure clear responsibilities, KPIs and accountability across both functions.
- Review operational performance and resolve recurring issues or bottlenecks.
- Support and coach the managers in improving team performance and operational standards.
- Coordinate across Retail, Finance, Commercial and other teams on operational matters.
2. Inventory Management & Control
- Oversee inventory accuracy across warehouses, retail stores and goods in transit.
- Ensure proper processes are in place for receiving, transfers, returns, damaged goods, demo units and stock adjustments.
- Establish regular cycle counts and physical stock-count processes.
- Review inventory discrepancies and ensure proper root-cause investigations are conducted.
- Reduce stock variance, shrinkage and unexplained inventory losses.
- Ensure physical stock movements reconcile with system records.
3. Warehouse Operations
- Oversee the Warehouse Manager and overall warehouse performance.
- Ensure effective processes for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch and stock transfers.
- Monitor warehouse productivity, stock accuracy and fulfilment performance.
- Improve warehouse processes, layouts and controls where required.
- Ensure appropriate controls and segregation of duties are maintained.
4. Logistics & Supply Chain
- Oversee the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager on inbound and outbound logistics.
- Monitor movement of goods from suppliers through freight, customs, warehouses and retail locations.
- Ensure timely delivery and proper documentation for import/export activities.
- Monitor stock availability, transfers and inventory movement across locations.
- Identify and resolve recurring supply chain and logistics issues.
5. Systems & Process Improvement
- Ensure ERP/WMS processes accurately reflect actual operational workflows.
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to improve inventory and warehouse systems.
- Establish appropriate approval processes for stock adjustments, write-offs and inventory movements.
- Identify manual processes and opportunities for automation.
- Improve operational reporting and visibility across the business.
6. SOPs & Operational Controls
- Develop and maintain SOPs for key warehouse, logistics and inventory processes.
- Ensure consistent implementation of SOPs across relevant locations.
- Establish clear approval matrices and escalation processes.
- Conduct periodic operational and inventory audits.
- Ensure discrepancies and audit findings are investigated and resolved promptly.
7. Reporting & Performance Management
- Develop and monitor key operational KPIs including:
- Inventory accuracy
- Stock variance and shrinkage
- Warehouse receiving and fulfilment accuracy
- Delivery and logistics performance
- Outstanding stock transfers
- Inventory reconciliation
- Damaged and written-off inventory
- Stock ageing
- Operational issue resolution time
- Provide regular operational updates and highlight key risks, issues and improvement opportunities to management.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, warehousing or inventory management.
- At least 2–3 years of people-management experience, preferably managing managers or functional leads.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and stock reconciliation.
- Experience overseeing warehouse and logistics operations.
- Experience working with ERP and/or WMS systems.
- Strong process-improvement and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfortable working hands-on and investigating operational issues when required.
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, FMCG, consumer goods or omnichannel businesses is preferred.
- Experience working across multiple markets or locations would be advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
