Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the underwriting function and team
Develop and implement underwriting strategies, policies, and guidelines
Ensure profitability and portfolio quality while managing risk exposure
Oversee underwriting operations, compliance, and process improvements
Collaborate closely with business development, claims, actuarial, and senior management teams

Qualifications

Extensive experience in non-life insurance underwriting
Strong leadership and people management background
In-depth knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and insurance regulations
Proven track record in portfolio management and business growth
Must have an active non-life insurance license covering Bonds, Marine, Property, and Casualty lines
Excellent stakeholder management and decision-making skills
