Head of Underwriting (Non-Life)

Core Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement underwriting policies, strategies, and guidelines to achieve profit and growth targets.
• Risk Management & Approval: Review and approve complex risks, set appropriate rates, and oversee the overall risk portfolio performance.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the underwriting team, providing guidance and evaluating individual performance.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure all underwriting activities adhere to regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.
• Reinsurance Management: Participate in negotiating reinsurance treaty terms with reinsurers and brokers.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product development, and claims departments to ensure a cohesive, customer-focused approach.
