Job Description
The Head of Strategy is responsible for setting and driving the strategic vision for Omnicom Media Singapore in partnership with the wider leadership team, ensuring strategy is a competitive advantage for our clients, our agencies and our people.
This role combines people leadership, client strategy leadership, capability building, thought leadership and strategic product ownership – setting the standard for what great strategy looks like and creating the conditions for it to happen consistently across the group.
This role reports into the CEO of Omnicom Media Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and develop the Strategy team
Lead a team of eight strategists operating across multiple agency brands within Omnicom Media, building a high-performing team with clear standards, strong development pathways and a shared strategic culture.
- Lead, mentor and develop strategists at different levels of seniority, providing clear direction, coaching and career development.
- Manage strategy resource across agency brands and clients, balancing business priorities, individual development and workload.
- Build a connected strategy community that shares knowledge, tools, thinking and best practice across the group.
- Attract, develop and retain strong strategic talent.
2. Set and drive Omnicom Media's strategic vision
Define what great strategy means for Omnicom Media and build the culture, capabilities and standards required to deliver it consistently.
Internally:
- Set the strategic ambition, principles and standards for the group.
- Elevate strategic thinking beyond the Strategy team, building stronger strategic capability across planning, client leadership and specialist teams.
- Develop training, frameworks and programmes that make strategic thinking more accessible and actionable across the organisation.
- Champion a culture of curiosity, insight, effectiveness and rigorous thinking.
Externally:
- Build Omnicom Media's strategic profile and reputation in the market.
- Identify areas where Omnicom Media can develop a distinctive strategic point of view and establish leadership within the industry.
- Develop and champion thought leadership around emerging consumer, cultural, media and industry themes.
- Translate the group's strategic capabilities into compelling stories for clients, prospects and the wider market.
3. Drive strategic excellence across priority local and regional clients
Act as a senior strategic partner on Omnicom Media's most important client relationships, ensuring our work addresses the right business and marketing challenges. As a regional hub, this involves a mixture of local and regional clients.
- Provide senior strategic leadership across priority clients, pitches and high-value briefs.
- Partner with agency and client leadership to identify opportunities where strategy can unlock greater business impact.
- Raise the quality of strategic outputs across briefs, annual planning, presentations and major client moments.
- Bring together capabilities from across Omnicom Media to solve complex client challenges.
- Build trusted relationships with senior clients and strengthen perceptions of Omnicom Media as a strategic business partner.
4. Own and evolve Omnicom Media's strategic products and technology platform
Lead the adoption and evolution of Omnicom Media's strategic products and technology platform, ensuring they create meaningful advantage for our teams and clients.
- Own the strategic product roadmap, identifying where new tools, frameworks, data and capabilities are needed.
- Ensure global and regional strategic products are effectively translated and embedded within the local market.
- Scale adoption of proprietary capabilities across the agency.
- Continually assess and evolve strategic products based on client needs, market developments and emerging capabilities such as AI.
5. Contribute to growth and new business
Use strategy as a driver of growth for both Omnicom Media and its agency brands.
- Lead senior strategic direction on major pitches and new-business opportunities.
- Develop compelling strategic narratives that differentiate Omnicom Media and its agencies.
- Identify opportunities to expand the role of strategy within existing client relationships.
- Help convert strategic capabilities, products and thought leadership into commercially valuable propositions.
