Job Overview
We are supporting a leading bank on a critical multi-year digital transformation initiative focused on Unsecured Lending and Cards Technology. The bank is undertaking a large-scale Card Management System (CMS) replacement and broader modernization of its credit card and unsecured lending platforms.
The Retail Technology Service Delivery Head Unsecured Lending will lead the end-to-end technology solutions and delivery portfolio for credit cards, personal loans, and related platforms. This role acts as the #2 to the Retail CTO, with direct exposure to senior business and technology leadership, including ExCo.
This is a high-impact role focused on solution leadership, vendor delivery management, platform integration, and large program execution, rather than in-house software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technology roadmap, solutions, and delivery execution for unsecured lending platforms (cards, personal loans, lines of credit).
- Lead the CMS replacement program, including migration strategy, phased rollout, cutover, and hyper-care.
- Oversee solution design, integration, scalability, resilience, and security across third-party platforms.
- Manage complex vendor ecosystems, SI partners, and platform providers; ensure delivery quality and SLA adherence.
- Drive portfolio planning across strategic programs, regulatory initiatives, and BAU enhancements.
- Ensure end-to-end customer journey integration across origination, servicing, payments, collections, rewards, and xPay.
- Lead testing strategy, certification readiness, cutover planning, and production stability.
- Engage and report to senior stakeholders on delivery progress, risks, and trade-offs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and risk frameworks (PCI DSS, data privacy, AML, BSP).
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing BU IT delivery organization.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in banking or financial services technology.
- Strong leadership experience in unsecured lending and cards technology (issuer side).
- Proven delivery leadership in large platform implementation or replacement programs (CMS, loan systems).
- Deep experience managing third-party platforms and vendors (CMS, LOS, collections, rewards).
- Strong understanding of integration architecture (APIs, middleware, event-driven platforms).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
