Job Overview: As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for building a local sales team in Philippines and promoting PingPong's cross-border payment solutions to service and goods trading enterprises in the Philippines, including BPOs, Freelancers, OTAs, SaaS, e-Commerce, etc. Leveraging your deep understanding of the local ecosystem and corporate cross-border payment needs, as well as your established network, you will develop sales pipelines, nurture key accounts, and achieve revenue targets.
Core Responsibilities:
Market Strategy & Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies and business plans targeting cross-border payment clients in Philippines.
- Lead the team in identifying, approaching, and engaging potential clients to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Gain deep insights into clients pain points in cross-border payment collection, currency exchange, and payouts, providing tailored payment solutions.
- Establish and maintain long-term, stable partnerships with clients, industry associations, and relevant service providers.
- Responsible for developing diverse customer acquisition channels, including online marketing, offline events, affiliates, etc.
Team Management & Reporting:
- Recruit, train, and manage the local sales team to achieve overall team performance goals.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, compliance, and operations teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
- Regularly report sales performance, market trends, and forecasts to management, and develop targeted adjustment strategies based on performance changes.
Market Insights & Feedback:
- Continuously monitor payment regulations, competitive landscape, and industry trends in the Philippines.
- Gather customer feedback and effectively communicate market insights to product and marketing teams to drive the optimization of products and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 years related working experience, and 3 years of B2B sales management experience in the Philippine payment industry, BPO sector, or other service trade-related industries, with a strong network in the Philippine BPO industry.
- Proven track record of successful sales performance, either individually or as a team manager.
- Deep understanding of cross-border fund collection and payment needs of local Philippine enterprises, as well as knowledge of cross-border payment services provided by local banks, is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Business-level proficiency in both Tagalog and English for communication and writing.
