Role Description The Head of Risk Department is a full-time, on-site role based in Calabarzon, Philippines. This role leads the design, implementation, and oversight of the bank's enterprise risk management framework, covering market, credit, operational, and liquidity risks. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring risk exposures, analyzing emerging risks, reviewing risk reports, and recommending mitigation strategies to senior leadership. The Head of Risk Department collaborates with business units to align risk appetite with growth objectives, ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, and supports internal and external audits. The role also involves developing risk policies, coaching and mentoring risk team members, and promoting a strong risk-aware culture across the organization.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Market Risk and Finance, including risk measurement, portfolio analysis, and financial modeling.
- Candidates should possess skills in Enterprise Risk Management, with experience designing and maintaining comprehensive risk frameworks and policies.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and present clear recommendations.
- Candidates should possess deep knowledge of Regulatory Compliance, particularly banking regulations and risk-related guidelines in the Philippines.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) are advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior risk management role within banking or financial services, with proven leadership and people management capabilities.
