As part of its continued expansion in the Philippines, the company is strengthening its governance framework and is seeking a Head of Risk & Compliance based in Manila to lead risk, regulatory compliance and legal oversight for the business.
Operating at the intersection of technology, digital platforms and payments, the company partners with online platforms, payment channels and institutional partners to deliver innovative financial solutions to both businesses and consumers. This role is suited for a hands-on and commercially aware risk leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the risk, compliance and legal functions for the Philippines business.
Develop and implement risk and compliance frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements and business growth.
Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and manage engagement with relevant regulators.
Provide legal oversight on commercial contracts, partnerships and platform agreements.
Establish policies and controls across operational risk, governance and regulatory compliance.
Partner closely with business, product and technology teams to support responsible and compliant product development.
Identify and manage emerging regulatory, operational and reputational risks.
Promote a strong risk and compliance culture across the organisation.
Requirements
15+ years of experience in risk, compliance or legal roles within fintech, payments, digital platforms or financial services.
Ideally legally qualified, with experience overseeing legal matters alongside compliance responsibilities.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to fintech, payments or digital financial services.
Experience engaging with regulators and managing regulatory relationships.
Proven ability to establish and lead risk and compliance frameworks in growing organisations.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business, product and technology teams.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
