Position Overview

The Head of Retail Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the performance, profitability, and operational excellence of all retail locations across the Gastronova portfolio.

Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will drive operational strategy, ensure brand standards are consistently upheld, and lead the successful execution of growth initiatives, including new store openings and market expansion. The role requires a highly analytical and hands-on leader capable of optimizing sales, labor, inventory, guest experience, and overall store performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day operations across multiple retail and hospitality locations.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that drive sales growth, profitability, and efficiency.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain best-in-class operational standards across all locations.
  • Analyze sales, labor, inventory, productivity, and financial performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive exceptional guest experiences through consistent execution of service and brand standards.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop store leadership teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and other departments to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee inventory management, stock optimization, loss prevention, and operational compliance.
  • Lead operational planning and execution for new store openings, expansions, and special projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in retail operations, hospitality, food & beverage, luxury retail, or lifestyle brands.
  • Proven track record managing multiple locations and leading large operational teams.
  • Strong expertise in retail operations, operational excellence, and multi-site management.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability with experience interpreting sales, labor, inventory, and profitability data.
  • Proven success in driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with luxury, premium, or internationally recognized brands is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Hospitality Management, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
