Head of Product

About the Role

As the Head of Product, you will lead JoyRide's Product function, including Product Management and UI/UX Design, and play a key role in shaping the future of our mobility platform.

You will be responsible for defining product strategy and priorities, leading and developing the Product team, and ensuring that business and user needs are translated into well-designed, effective product solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Data, and Management. You will oversee the product lifecycle from discovery and prioritization through design, development, launch, measurement, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product vision, strategy, priorities, and roadmap aligned with JoyRide's business objectives.
• Lead, manage, and develop the Product Management team, establishing clear ownership, standards, and accountability.
• Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through development, testing, launch, and iteration.
• Work closely with Engineering and Design to translate business and user needs into clear product requirements and development priorities.
• Establish and continuously improve product management processes, including discovery, prioritization, roadmapping, backlog management, and release planning.
• Guide UI/UX direction and ensure intuitive, consistent, and effective experiences across JoyRide's customer and driver platforms.
• Deep-dive into complex product and operational problems, identify root causes, and guide teams toward effective solutions.
• Prioritize initiatives based on customer and driver needs, business impact, data, technical feasibility, and available resources.
• Use product data, customer and driver feedback, operational insights, and market trends to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Establish product KPIs and success metrics and use performance insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with Operations and other business teams to understand workflows and determine where product or technology solutions are needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering leadership on technical dependencies, trade-offs, capacity, and delivery priorities.
• Champion innovation and explore opportunities involving AI, automation, data, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant Product Management experience, preferably in technology, mobility, logistics, fintech, e-commerce, marketplaces, or other digital platforms.
• 3+ years of experience leading Product Managers or a Product Management function.
• Strong understanding of the complete product development lifecycle, from discovery through launch and iteration.
• Proven ability to work closely with Engineering teams and translate business and user problems into clear, actionable product requirements.
• Strong knowledge of product discovery, prioritization, roadmapping, backlog management, agile development, and release planning.
• Experience working closely with or leading UI/UX or Product Design teams, with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Hands-on and analytical, with the ability to investigate complex problems, understand data and workflows, and identify root causes.
• Strong strategic and commercial judgment with the ability to balance long-term direction with immediate business priorities.
• Experience using data, experimentation, customer research, and operational insights to guide product decisions.
• Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience with AI-enabled products, data products, automation, or machine learning is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
