Job Description

Role: Head of People & Culture (Part-time or full time)

Location: Remote

Expand In Asia specialises in helping B2B tech companies grow their sales pipeline. We do that by offering state of the art B2B outbound prospecting services. We focus on the early stages of a sales cycle to significantly expand our clients top of the funnel. We believe that expanding our clients business requires in-depth knowledge about their business and their prospects. Our clients outsource to us their SDR (Sales Development Representative) activities. The aim is to function as an extension of our clients.

Role Overview:

The Head of People & Culture is responsible for leading end-to-end recruitment, overseeing onboarding and core HR processes, and supporting employee engagement and performance-related initiatives. 

The ideal candidate is hands-on, organised, and people-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This role requires comfort in a startup environment that values flexibility, adaptability, and a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to navigate evolving priorities while maintaining high standards in their work.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Own and manage the end-to-end recruitment process across all functions.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, timelines, and hiring priorities
  • Draft and publish job descriptions, source candidates through multiple channels, and manage candidate pipelines
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, coordinate interview processes, and manage candidate communications
  • Own and continuously improve onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and positive new joiner experience

HR Administration & People Operations

  • Support day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including employee records, contracts, onboarding documentation, and offboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data and HR trackers
  • Assist with internal HR processes, policies, and documentation as needed
  • Act as a point of contact for basic HR-related queries from employees

Employee Engagement & Culture Initiatives

  • Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities on an ad hoc basis (e.g. small internal initiatives, celebrations, team activities)
  • Manage and design materials for employee birthdays, work anniversaries, and other key milestones
  • Keep track of important employee dates and ensure timely recognition
  • Support internal communications related to people, culture, and engagement initiatives

Compensation & Performance Review

  • Support the administration of compensation-related processes, including salary reviews and adjustments
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and tracking of performance evaluation processes
  • Work with leadership to ensure performance and compensation processes are fair, structured, and clearly communicated
  • Maintain relevant trackers and documentation related to performance and compensation reviews

Requirements:

  • 5 to 8 years experience
  • Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition with sales roles is critical, preferably in a startup, SME, or fast-growing company
  • Comfortable handling both strategic and hands-on operational work
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
