Job Description

The Role

The Head of People and Culture will oversee and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall Ecosa business strategy across Australia, Hong Kong, Philippines, and China. The role involves managing a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and enhancing employee engagement and retention.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Management

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.

Talent Acquisition and Management

  • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.
  • Implement effective onboarding programs.
  • Manage and evaluate the performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Assess training needs and monitor training programs.

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Foster a positive working environment.
  • Enhance employee engagement and job satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement programs to maintain a positive company culture.
  • Address and manage employee concerns and feedback.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with labor laws in each operating country.
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Oversee and manage a competitive and equitable compensation and benefits program.
  • Conduct market research to ensure competitiveness of compensation and benefits.
  • Manage payroll processing and related activities.

Diversity and Inclusion

  • Promote diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that support a diverse and inclusive work environment.

HR Metrics and Reporting

  • Develop and utilize HR metrics to support decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10-15years of HR management experience, preferably in a multinational company.
  • Proven experience managing teams across different countries, particularly in Australia, Hong Kong, Philippines, and China.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations in the specified regions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and development.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and common HR software tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CIPD).
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other language relevant to the operating regions (Mandarin, Japanese, Cantonese, etc.)
