About The Role
TechGen operates as the internal growth engine behind LoansOne, a fast‑growing Australian business loan brokerage.
We are building an in‑house paid acquisition unit to scale from 2,000 leads per month to 10,000+ and beyond.
We are looking for a Head of Paid Acquisition to own paid media strategy, budget allocation, scaling, and overall revenue impact.
This is not a campaign management role — this is performance ownership.
You will control significant monthly ad spend and be accountable for:
- Lead volume
- Cost per lead (CPL)
- Funded deal impact
What You Will Own
- Paid media strategy across all channels
- Budget management and aggressive scaling
- Cost per lead targets under defined thresholds
- Lead quality and downstream performance
- Weekly and daily optimization decisions
- Collaboration with Creative and Funnel teams
- Revenue impact from paid channels
You are responsible for results, not just traffic.
Mandatory Platform Experience
You must have strong, proven experience managing and scaling campaigns across:
- Google Ads
- Search
- Display
- YouTube
- Google Performance Max (PMax)
- Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
You must have experience scaling campaigns beyond small budgets and be comfortable managing $300k+ monthly spend.
Non‑Negotiable Experience
Retargeting Strategy
Deep experience required in:
- Multi‑stage retargeting funnels
- Cross‑platform retargeting (Google + Meta)
- Behavior‑based audience segmentation
- Abandoned form retargeting
- Video viewer retargeting
- Website engagement retargeting
- CRM‑based retargeting audiences
You must know how to move cold traffic to qualified applications efficiently.
Full Funnel Strategy
You must understand:
- High‑intent search structure
- Full‑funnel acquisition strategy
- TOFU, MOFU, BOFU campaign structures
- Landing page alignment with search intent
- Qualification flow optimization
- Improving application completion rates
- Working with Sales and Credit to improve approval rates
This role focuses on funded deals, not vanity metrics.

- Build and execute full‑funnel paid acquisition strategy
- Expand keyword coverage aggressively
- Structure campaigns by qualification intent
- Scale budgets quickly when within CPL thresholds
- Kill underperforming segments fast
Daily Optimization
- Daily performance monitoring
- Budget reallocation
- Bid strategy refinement
- Search term mining
- Audience expansion
- Creative performance evaluation
No passive account management.
Lead Quality & Revenue Focus
- Optimize for funded deals
- Analyze lead‑to‑approval and lead‑to‑settlement rates
- Adjust targeting using downstream data
- Work closely with Sales to maintain quality while scaling
Tracking & Attribution
Required proficiency in:
- GA4
- Google Tag Manager
- Meta Pixel
- Conversion API
You must ensure accurate tracking of:
- Leads
- Applications
- Approvals
- Settlements
Data must be clean before scaling.
Required Experience
- 4+ years hands‑on paid media management
- Experience managing and scaling large ad budgets
- Strong track record in high‑intent lead gen industries
- Deep retargeting & funnel optimization expertise
- Analytical & commercially oriented mindset
- Able to operate independently in fast‑growth environments
