Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall legal strategy of the PSACC Group of Companies for pending and potential litigation.
- Establishes and implements short- and long-term organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures for the department: monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
- Provides frequent updates to the Division Head, the President, the Board
- Committees and Board of Directors, if necessary
- Prepares the budget for the Legal Department
- Supervises and manages the lawyers under the Legal Department
- Liaises with the external counsels of the Company for cases handled externally
- Drafts, reviews and negotiates contracts and agreements
- Prepares advisory and opinion with respect to legal issues and risks faced by PSACC Group of Companies
- Assists the Company's Human Resource Department with respect to administrative hearings, CBA negotiations and other employee relation matters
- Represents the PSACC Group of Companies before administrative agencies, quasi-judicial bodies and courts in case of any legal issue or controversy.
- Draft affidavits, pleadings and motions representing PSACC Group of Companies, its directors and officers.
- Acts as notary public of the Company.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to the bar.
- At least 10 years of experience in the practice of law specializing in litigation and labor.
- Must have good track record in litigation.
- Must have strong management skills, interpersonal skills and decision-making skills.
- Candidate must have a background managing CBA negotiations and union- related issues (e.g., strikes), labor cases, damage claims, collection & property cases.
- Preference with firm experience for 5 years and is in a senior management position in a firm or company.
- Good verbal and written communications
- Willing to travel for work.
Schedule: Mondays to Fridays 8:00 AM to 6:40PM, 100% Onsite.
