Head of Legal - Fintech Bank

A fast-growing fintech bank is hiring a Head of Legal to lead its in-house legal function through its next phase of growth.

This is a team lead role that will act as a trusted advisor to the Board and senior management, while working closely with the business on new products, lending propositions, commercial partnerships and the broader evolution of the Digital Bank. The role will lead and develop the legal team and ensure the function remains commercially relevant as the Bank scales.

You'll be involved across the full business lifecycle, from product ideation and structuring through documentation and go-to-market. This includes advising on wholesale and SME banking, digital lending, financing transactions, embedded finance and digital customer journeys, working closely with Product, Engineering, Risk and Compliance to build legal considerations into products from the outset.

A key part of the role will be supporting the Bank's governance and risk framework, including policies, internal controls and corporate governance. You'll act as the primary legal partner to the Board, shareholders and senior management, while overseeing external counsel and company secretarial matters.

We're looking for a senior legal professional with 10+ years PQE, ideally with a strong in-house banking, finance or fintech experience. You should have substantial local exposure and a proven track record across financing transactions, commercial legal matters and complex regulatory environments. Singapore qualification is preferred.

Experience within a digital bank, fintech or similarly fast-moving financial institution would be highly relevant. Strong corporate governance, data privacy and wholesale banking regulatory experience are also valuable, alongside the ability to operate commercially and work directly with senior stakeholders and Board members. Mandarin would be an advantage.
