About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Insurance Client Conservation to lead the company's client retention and policy conservation initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that improve policy persistency, reduce avoidable policy lapses, strengthen client relationships, and maximize the value of the existing insurance portfolio.

As a senior leader, you will work closely with Distribution, Operations, Technology, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Finance teams to deliver proactive client engagement programs, optimize conservation processes, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide client conservation and retention strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish long-term plans to improve policy persistency, client engagement, and revenue retention.
  • Define KPIs, performance targets, and success metrics for conservation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer lifetime value through proactive retention strategies.

Conservation Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of policy conservation activities, including:
    • Policy lapse prevention
    • Premium reminder campaigns
    • Client retention initiatives
    • Policy reinstatement programs
    • Engagement of orphan and at-risk clients
  • Standardize operational processes and ensure service excellence across the conservation team.
  • Monitor performance and implement continuous process improvements using operational data and customer insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Distribution teams to strengthen advisor support and client engagement.
  • Collaborate with Operations to integrate conservation initiatives into core business processes.
  • Work with Technology teams to enhance systems, reporting, and digital capabilities.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Customer Experience teams to develop targeted client communication campaigns.
  • Partner with Finance to manage budgets and deliver cost-effective conservation initiatives.

Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing conservation team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Present business performance, trends, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in insurance operations, policy administration, client retention, customer conservation, customer experience, or related functions.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of policy persistency, insurance customer lifecycle management, and client retention strategies.
  • Experience developing and implementing operational improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in the life insurance or financial services industry is highly preferred.
