Job Description

The Head of Human Resources is responsible for aligning the regional HR strategy with business objectives as well as its execution and the overall regional management of the entire HR function across the employee lifecycle in Philippines, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Aside from serving as the HR-strategic partner of senior executives, and leading the various HR functions (payroll, total rewards, recruiting, learning and development and etc), the role is expected to be hands-on in driving the organizational development, talent management, employee engagement, performance and discipline management and ensuring risk management and compliance to applicable local labor laws.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and implement regional HR strategies aligned with AXA's global vision and local market requirements
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify talent needs and organizational gaps
  • Drive organizational transformation and change management initiatives

Talent Management & Development

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent acquisition processes
  • Design and implement leadership development and succession planning programs
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and employee development
  • Manage performance management systems and compensation strategies

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Build and maintain positive employee relations across all levels
  • Develop employee engagement programs and internal communication strategies
  • Handle employee relations issues, conflicts, and grievances professionally
  • Champion workplace culture and organizational values

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and AXA policies
  • Manage HR policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration and employee wellness programs
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting

Operations & Analytics

  • Manage HR budget and resources efficiently
  • Implement HR systems and technologies to improve efficiency
  • Generate HR analytics and insights to inform business decisions
  • Prepare data-driven HR reports for senior management

Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team
  • Delegate responsibilities and foster professional growth
  • Ensure consistent service delivery across HR functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 15 years of combined-progressive HR experience covering the following areas:

  • Strategic HR business partnerships with senior executives (VPs to CEO)
  • Managing and leading the various HR functions of Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Payroll and Learning & Development
  • Adept in Organizational Development and Talent Management across borders
  • Employee Discipline and Performance Management
  • Regulatory compliance to local labor law requirements
  • Proven experience managing a regional HR shared services model
