Job Description

Head of Growth

Company: Aboitiz Power - MyPowerhouse

Location: Makati CBD, Hybrid

About MyPowerhouse

MyPowerhouse (Powerhouse Innovations Inc.) is a technology-first company that is building the future of energy deregulation in the Philippines.

With our mypowerhouse.ph platform, we enable all mass market electricity consumers such as residential households and businesses of all sizes to switch to AdventPower, the retail electricity supply (RES) arm of AboitizPower, to access a cheap and reliable supply of electricity.

We are part of the AboitizPower group, the Philippines largest energy producer based on installed capacity, through its wholly-owned corporate venture studio, 1882 Energy Ventures Inc.

Role Overview

The Head of Growth leads the demand side of MyPowerhouse and holds accountability for the combined results of Marketing and Business Development.

MyPowerhouse sells into a market that is largely unaware the option exists. Demand must therefore be created rather than captured, and the work runs from establishing awareness in a cold audience through to securing agreements with owners, administrators, and governing boards. The Head of Growth owns that entire path together with the targets attached to it.

The position calls for a commercial leader who has built an acquisition function rather than inherited one, and who can operate at the pace of an early-stage company while observing the governance requirements of an established conglomerate group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Commercial targets. Own the acquisition plan and deliver the contracted volume, pipeline coverage, and cost of acquisition targets agreed with the CEO. Set the quarterly plan by segment and territory, and hold the Commercial function to it.
  • Marketing. Direct brand, demand generation, and content across paid, owned, and community channels. Ensure marketing output is assessed on qualified demand rather than reach, and that investment is allocated on evidence of performance.
  • Outbound. Direct the origination function covering telephone, electronic, and field-based prospecting. Establish the activity standards, coverage requirements, and qualification criteria that govern handover into Business Development.
  • Business Development. Direct the closing function. Set qualification and proposal standards, establish the approach to multi-party approval structures, and personally lead engagements that require senior representation.
  • Operating model. Define the stages, definitions, and handover standards that connect the three functions so that volume passed between them is neither lost nor duplicated. Shift the acquisition mix progressively toward scalable, technology-enabled channels as performance data supports it.
  • Channel development. Identify, negotiate, and manage referral and endorsement relationships that extend reach beyond directly employed resources.
  • Team leadership. Build and lead the Marketing, Outbound, and Business Development teams. Recruit into the structure, set individual accountabilities, and develop managers capable of running their functions without daily supervision.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Within the first 12 months

  • Contracted volume targets met, supported by forward pipeline sufficient for the two succeeding quarters.
  • Cost of acquisition (CAC) measured by channel and improving against the position at appointment.
  • A documented acquisition method covering qualification, proposal, and approval navigation, capable of being taught to a new hire.
  • Marketing, Outbound, and Business Development each led by a manager operating without daily direction.
  • Commercial reporting produced on a fixed cycle and relied upon by the leadership team without further preparation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • At least 5-7 years of commercial experience spanning marketing and sales, including experience in leading more than one function while carrying a revenue or volume target.
  • Demonstrated record of building an acquisition function at an early stage, including recruitment and development of the team that ran it.
  • Experience selling a recurring, contract-based service to small and medium enterprises, commercial property, or residential communities.
  • Fluency in performance marketing and in the measurement of commercial activity against cost of acquisition, conversion, and pipeline coverage.
  • Capacity to establish a market position and lead customer education where category awareness is limited, with the presence to represent the company to senior counterparties.

Preferred

  • Experience in energy, utilities, telecommunications, financial services, or another regulated sector involving customer enrolment or switching.
  • Experience with referral, endorsement, or partner-led distribution.
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management systems and commercial analytics.
