Overview

The Head of Finance will lead the organization's overall financial strategy, operations, and performance. This role requires a seasoned finance leader with strong expertise in collections management, project management, and end-to-end finance and accounting activities. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, ensure operational excellence, and drive financial integrity while supporting growth and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Provide guidance to executive leadership on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital management.
  • Lead financial risk assessment and mitigation initiatives.

End-to-End Finance & Accounting Management

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, and tax compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, statements, and regulatory filings.
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.

Collections & Credit Management

  • Lead the design and execution of effective collections strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce aged receivables.
  • Oversee credit policies, credit evaluations, and risk assessments of clients and partners.
  • Monitor collections targets, implement process improvements, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Project & Process Management

  • Drive finance-related projects including system enhancements, automation initiatives, process improvement, and policy development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement new financial tools, ERP upgrades, and operational transformation projects.
  • Monitor project timelines, resources, and stakeholder alignment to ensure successful completion.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasting activities.
  • Ensure robust financial modeling to support business decisions, new initiatives, and investment opportunities.
  • Analyze financial trends, variances, and performance metrics to guide strategic decisions.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify training needs and provide development opportunities for the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is preferred.
  • At least 1015 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in collections management, credit control, and cash flow optimization.
  • Proven track record in project management, financial systems implementation, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end financial processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence decision-making, and drive organizational change.
