Your Role: Make an Impact

In this role, you will be part of a high performing team with a strong focus on local and external compliance. Your role involves managing the finance operations and accounting in our Philippine and Indian offices. You will also be responsible for the overall financial strength and operations of the TORM Philippines Education Foundation Inc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regular one-to-ones, appraisal, succession planning and development plan for your direct reports
  • Providing advice, information, strategic leadership and support across the range of finance and general accounting concerns to the President and other stakeholders
  • Providing financial and accounting reporting in accordance with IFRS and in compliance with corporate policies and guidelines
  • Leading the local annual budgeting process and assisting the local management team in budget execution through monthly reporting, analysis and recommendations
  • Coordinating with external auditors as preparation and review of the audited Financial Statements and financial disclosures
  • Performing and reviewing SOX controls related to shore based payroll, tax litigation and compliance, bank reconciliation and accesses
  • Ensuring accuracy and timely administration of local payroll including remittance of statutory contributions of employees
  • Managing the finance and accounting of operations of TORM Philippines Education Foundation, Inc.

Your Profile

We are looking for a Certified Public Accountant with ten years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably within multinational organizations. The ideal candidate has a leadership focus with a strategic mindset, capable of driving transformation and aligning financial operations with broader business objectives.

To succeed in this role, you bring/are

  • A strong knowledge of Filipino tax laws and regulatory requirements, with insight to related departments and stakeholders (e.g. BIR, SEC, PCNC, DSWD, LGU)
  • A strong foundation in finance, compliance, and governance, with exposure to global standards such as IFRS/PFRS
  • A proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver results in complex, multi-entity environments
  • Experience with process optimization, automation, and digital transformation within finance functions
  • Hands-on knowledge of ERP systems (D365 or similar) and financial reporting tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies as well as to board and other senior management
  • A forward-thinking approach, balancing operational excellence with strategic initiatives to support organizational growth
  • High integrity, adaptability, and continuous improvement orientation
  • Proficient in the use of Accounting System (Microsoft Dynamic Nav 2018)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
