Job Description

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Finance – India & Middle East to lead the regional finance function across multiple entities. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, taxation, compliance, budgeting, treasury, audit management, and business partnering, while providing strategic financial leadership to support growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the finance function across India and the Middle East.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian and Middle East statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, including corporate tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax, financial reporting, and other applicable legal obligations
  • Oversee financial reporting, month-end close, and management reporting (MIS).
  • Manage revenue recognition, financial controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely compliance with audit requirements.
  • Manage treasury, cash flow, banking relationships, and financial institution negotiations.
  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and shared services optimization.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 12-15+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.
  • Strong expertise in Indian and Middle East taxation, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and controllership.
  • Experience managing multiple legal entities and regional finance operations.
  • Solid understanding of revenue recognition, treasury, and audit management.
  • Experience working within shared services or multinational environments is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills; ERP experience is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) strongly preferred.
  • MBA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
