Position Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Head of Finance & Corporate Treasurer to lead the finance operations of our client's Philippine business. This role is responsible for ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and strategic financial leadership aligned with both local and global business objectives.
The ideal candidate is a proactive finance leader with strong technical expertise and leadership experience, capable of managing day-to-day finance operations while serving as a strategic business partner to executive leadership and regional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and oversee all financial operations including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and decision-making
- Ensure alignment with global financial policies and reporting standards
Corporate Treasury
- Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization
- Oversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, and treasury activities
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure and support financial risk management initiatives
Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with Philippine regulations and corporate requirements
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and governance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and corporate reporting requirements
- Oversee tax planning, filings, and regulatory compliance matters
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the local finance team
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support operational efficiency and process optimization initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Minimum of 8–12 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- At least 3–5 years in a finance leadership or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting standards, treasury operations, and compliance
- Experience with SAP is highly preferred
- Experience working within multinational organizations or reporting to regional/global headquarters is an advantage
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and business acumen
