Job Summary:
The Head of Enterprise & Solutions Architecture is accountable for defining, governing, and
continuously evolving the company's enterprise-wide and solution-level architecture to ensure
business strategy, digital transformation, and technology delivery are fully aligned.
This role owns both strategic enterprise architecture (business, data, application, integration,
infrastructure) and delivery-focused solution architecture across all major initiatives. It ensures
all solutions are coherent, scalable, secure, resilient, cost-effective, and compliant by design.
The role serves as the architectural authority for all major programs, including core platform
modernization, cloud transformation, data platforms, digital channels, and ecosystem
integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Leadership
Define and maintain
o Enterprise Architecture vision, principles, standards, and target-state blueprints
o Multi-year technology and platform roadmaps aligned to business strategy
Ensure business strategy, transformation initiatives, and IT investments are
architecturally aligned.
Drive simplification, modernization, platforming, and technical debt reduction across
the enterprise.
Own enterprise-wide architecture across:
o Business
o Application
o Data
o Integration
o Infrastructure & Cloud
Solutions Architecture & Delivery Governance
Own the solution architecture function across all major programs and initiatives.
Ensure all solutions:
o Conform to enterprise standards
o Meet non-functional requirements (security, scalability, performance, resilience, DR, observability)
o Are fit-for-purpose and future-proof
Establish solution architecture lifecycle governance from concept to delivery.
Review and approve:
o High-level solution designs
o Architecture decision records
o Technology selections
o Major design changes
Architecture Governance
Chair or co-chair the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
Define and enforce:
o Architecture standards
o Reference architectures
o Technology guardrails
Govern:
o Architecture compliance
o Exception management and waivers
o Technology risk and design debt
Ensure architecture assurance across:
o Programs
o Projects
o Vendors
o Platforms
Transformation & Platform Modernization
Lead architecture for:
o Core system replacement
o Cloud & platform modernization
o API and integration platforms
o Data & analytics platforms
o Digital & partner ecosystems
Drive domain-oriented, modular, composable, and platform-based architecture.
Ensure coexistence and migration architectures are well-designed and governed.
Risk, Security, Resilience & Compliance by Design
Ensure security-by-design, privacy-by-design, resilience-by-design across all solutions.
Enforce alignment with:
o Information Security
o Cyber Security
o Data Privacy
o Regulatory & audit requirements
Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Security to:
o Review architectural risks
o Embed controls
o Support regulatory and audit readiness
Vendor & Technology Strategy
Provide architecture leadership in:

o Make-vs-buy decisions
Ensure vendor solutions fit:

Drive vendor and platform rationalization
Organization, Capability & Operating Model
Build and lead:

Establish:
o Architecture operating model
o Decision rights and engagement model with delivery teams
o Architecture community of practice
Develop architecture talent, standards, and maturity.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
15+ years in IT with at least 7+ years in enterprise and/or solution architecture
leadership.
Proven experience leading large-scale digital and core system transformations.
Strong experience in:
o Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
o Core systems
o API & integration platforms
o Data platforms
o Security & resilience architecture
Deep knowledge of:
o Enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or equivalent)
o Modern digital, cloud-native, and platform architectures
o Regulated enterprise environments
Preferred Qualifications:
TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification
Cloud certifications
Experience in Insurance or Banking
Experience with core platform replacement
Experience in SaaS, PaaS, and hybrid environments
Experience presenting to Executive Committee and Board
