Head of Data Science

The Data Science Head is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of data science initiatives within China Bank Corporation. The individual in this role will lead a team of data scientists and work closely with various stakeholders to deliver innovative data-driven solutions and insights that enhance business performance and drive competitive advantage.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE:

1. Strategy Development:

o Develop and execute a comprehensive data science strategy aligned with the overall business objectives of China Bank Corporation. Identify and

prioritize key areas where data science can drive business growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

o Build business case and value propositions on how each data science initiative can be monetized to support business growth of the Bank.

2. Data Analysis and Modeling:

o Lead the development and implementation of advanced data analytics models and algorithms to extract insights, predict trends, and optimize

business processes, from ideation or proof of value creation to delivery.

o Utilize statistical techniques, machine learning, and predictive modeling to solve complex business problems.

3. Data Governance and Management:

o Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to ensure effective data management, data acquisition, and data integration.

o Establish data governance frameworks and best practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and security. Ensure compliance with regulatory policies.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration:

o Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business units, IT, and other relevant departments, to understand their data science needs

and develop customized solutions.

o Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

5. Project Management:

o Manage end-to-end data science projects, including scoping, planning, execution, and evaluation.

o Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the defined objectives.

o Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders.

6. Research and Innovation:

o Stay abreast of the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

o Continuously evaluate and recommend innovative tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of data

science initiatives.
