Job Description

The Chief Commercial Officer is responsible for creating strategic metrics by managing the sales and revenue drivers of the organization. The person ensures that the business stays on track with its objectives and exceeds targets by working with various departments on their budget, sales process, and communication activities.

The role will work closely with senior executives. Their job is to meet the company's financial goals by maximizing revenue and minimizing costs.

Responsibilities

  • Building relationships with key organizational stakeholders, including management teams, suppliers, vendors, and other outside partners.
  • Create, lead, and execute the development of commercial strategies aimed at increasing sales and driving growth.
  • Serves as the liaison between various departments within an organization to ensure the delivery of the promised quality products and services to stakeholders.
  • Building a high-performing sales team to execute end-to-end sales, including outreach, pitching, getting alignment, negotiation, closing deals, and implementation
  • Monitoring market trends and providing regular competitor analysis
  • Assist in the development of budgets and other financial systems within the company.
  • Regularly receive reports comparing actual sales versus budgeted sales.
  • Study industry trends and create an effective business plan based on commercial opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must be a degree holder in finance, business administration, or related field; an MBA degree is a plus.
  • Experience as a commercial or sales director
  • Proven experience in sales and client relationship management
  • Experience in market research and analysis
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes and performance reporting
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Skills in strategic and business planning
  • Must be a strategic thinker and problem solver.
  • Self-starter who is detail-oriented and well-organized
