About the Opportunity

A leading global logistics and freight forwarding organization is seeking a Head of Air Freight to lead and develop its air freight business within the Philippines.

This is a senior leadership position with full responsibility for country air freight strategy, operational performance, profitability, carrier management, and long-term business growth. The successful candidate will work closely with local and regional stakeholders to drive service excellence, strengthen market position, and deliver sustainable commercial results.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the country's air freight strategy in alignment with broader business objectives.
• Lead operational planning, budgeting, and performance management to achieve growth and profitability targets.
• Oversee end-to-end air freight operations including capacity management, procurement, consolidations, and network optimization.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives to enhance productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, strategic partners, and key customers.
• Support commercial teams with pricing strategy, large tenders, RFQs, and customer solutions.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitive developments to identify growth opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and operational standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing air freight organization across the country.
• Champion continuous improvement and best-practice implementation across the business.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years experience within air freight operations and management.
• Proven leadership experience within international freight forwarding or logistics.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience driving profitability and growth.
• Deep understanding of airline procurement, capacity management, and air freight network operations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and complex operational environments.
• Strong analytical, planning, and project management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
