Job Summary:
Responsible for enduring the development and/or updating, as well as the issuance of the relevant guidelines/policies governing the lending activities of the Bank.
How will you contribute:
Credit Policy Formulation and/or Updating:
- Conceptualizes, formulates, and/or reviews the guidelines/policies and procedures governing the credit or lending activities of the Bank. Reviews credit programs and sandboxes initiated internally within the group or by business partners;
- Ensures annual updating of Credit Policy Manuals;
- Monitors and assesses policy exceptions, for possible policy regularization or stricter implementation of exceptions, subject to delinquency performance and risk-appetite.
Insurance Companies Accreditation:
- Responsible for the annual review/evaluation of the accreditation of insurance companies in accordance with internal policies and conditions of the approval. Works with and coordinates with various units involved in gathering information needed to accredit the companies, as well as in cascading to concerned units the prescribed risk limits of accredited companies.
Reviews the other Lending/Business Units Operations Manuals, guidelines/policies and procedures as may be assigned to ensure salient matters specifically regarding credit related matters (as deemed applicable) are considered and/or addressed.
Credit Policy Oversight:
- Reviews and endorses for approval Credit Policy proposals from the RCBC Bankard Services Corp (RBSC) Credit Policy Group. Attends monthly Portfolio Reviews and Credit Committee Meetings of various Lending Groups
Regulatory and Audit Compliance
- Keeps abreast of updates on BSP policies as stipulated in the Manual of Regulations for Banks (MORB) and Bank policies as specified in the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Program (MTPP) through circulars, required seminars/programs and adheres to said policies. Addresses audit findings related to credit policies
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor's Degree holder, preferably a major in Business Administration, Economics, or Management. Having post graduate studies and relevant trainings/seminars are an advantage
- Must have a strong working knowledge in the development of policies related to consumer, commercial, corporate and SME loans.
- Significant exposure in the credit cycle for business loans, knowledge in BSP regulations and best practices in the industry
- Knowledge on various credit lines, loans, trust facilities offered by the Bank to business entities.
- At least eight (8) years of experience in policy formulation and/or any credit-related functions.
- Must have honed managerial and supervisory skills; data-driven, analytical with excellent oral and written communication skills
